Stärken:
What stands out the most about the 920A is how easily it clears the front part of the lane, and the strong response to friction down the lane. This compliments the 930T nicely.
Schwächen:
This ball will struggle on conditions on the extremes of the spectrum. The core/cover combination isn't strong enough for the heavy/long stuff, and is way too strong for the short/dry stuff.
Insgesamt:
The 920A is the second release from Track in the 9 Series. This ball is a lot cleaner through the front, with a much stronger move at the breakpoint and back end compared to the 930T. This ball is best suited for any condition from medium-dry to medium-oily.
Comments:
The Magic Action features a new, Flexol Super Plus reactive shell that is finished at 4000 Abralon. This ball shares the same Magic Symmetric Mass Bias core shape with a slightly higher RG. All three testers had their best looks with the Magic Action on the medium test pattern. We experienced decent traction in the midlane with the 4000 grit box finish and a strong back end reaction through the pins. The Magic Action is one of those balls where you send it wide and watch it fly back to the pocket. Cranker could hit the pocket easily on the heavy oil pattern, while Tweener and Stroker had to adjust the surface to 2000 Abralon to get the extra traction needed for the longer, heavier volume. Despite the 4000 Abralon factory finish, the Magic Action didn't excel for us on the drier test pattern. We added Ebonite Factory Finish Polish, which helped increase the length, but also increased the angularity at the back end. All three testers agreed that the box finish was best for attacking our sport pattern, giving each a big back end move once the ball was beyond the pattern. Adjusting the surface to 2000 Abralon will smooth out the back end movement and create more friction on higher volume sport patterns.
