Stärken: This is one of those balls that will sell based on looks alone. Fortunately, it rolls just as good as it looks. We will be surprised if anyone is disappointed with the 607A.
Schwächen: Extreme wet/dry type patterns will be the only thing that slows down the 607A Special Edition. This is always the case with polished balls that are very aggressive when they encounter friction.
Insgesamt: The 607A Special Edition fills a gap in the Track line between the 505A and the 920A. The recent discontinuation of the 7l5A made this somewhat of a replacement, just with more angularity. Bowlers looking for the most skid/snap reaction in the Track line need to look no further than the 607A Special Edition.
Comments: With the upcoming release of the 607A Special Edition, Track will have a mid-performance ball that falls right between the 505A and the 7l5A. We should be able to recognize this without even throwing this new release thanks to the numbering system by Track. The first number lets us know the strength ofthe cover which is a 6. Of course, everyone knows that 6 falls between 5 and 7, The second two numbers give us the core strength which again falls between the 505A and the 7l5A. Finally, the letter at the end lets us know the shape of the hook, which is the same as the two previously mentioned balls. Track achieved the look of the 607A by using a modified low RG weight block and surrounding it with the “SE 6” Gen l Reactive veneer. This core/cover combination provides easy length with a superior move at the breakpoint. All three testers found the 607A to match up best with our medium test pattern. We could talk about how amazing the pin carry was and how many messengers Cranker had flying across the lane but just take our word for it; this ball will match up extremely well with any house shot. Simply gu with your favorite layout and have fun with it. When it comes to oilier patterns, those wishing to use this ball will need to hit it with a 2000 Abralon pad. You will have more traction inthe oil and diminish the back end reaction as well. Those with lower rev rates will have no problem on fresh dry patterns. Those with higher rev rates will warn to drill the ball weaker if they encounter more dry patterns than they do medium patterns. For those with medium to high rev rates, the ball will perform better on patterns that become dry versus ones that start dry. Stay away from fresh sport patterns with this one. We haven’t found a fresh sport pattern yet that loves a skid/flip type of ball reaction. The ball will perform better during the later games on a sport pattern.
