Stärken: Onyx Vibe offers length with lots of control down lane. This is a major plus on conditions that have lower volumes of oil.

Schwächen: Heavy and.long oil patterns will force Onyx Vibe back in the bag rather quickly. As with all of the previous Vibes, Onyx is designed for medium to light oil patterns, so stay away from the heavy stuff.

Insgesamt: Onyx Vibe can be considered a replacement for Blue Vibe. The cover is a slightly stronger version of the one used on Blue Vibe. This core/cover combination creates a ball motion that offers lots of roll, which makes it easy to read.

Comments: Onyx Vibe features the same core design as all of the previous Vibes. The RG and differential are the same. The CT Reactive Plus cover is stronger version of the cover found on the Blue Vibe. This creates a slightly stronger read of the oil, allowing for a little more overall hook' as well, than Blue Vibe. This Vibe is best suited for medium to dry lane conditions, just like the previous Vibes. We had our best look on the dry lane condition. The easy length and controllable back end were ideal for this condition. Onyx Vibe made a smooth transition down lane, shot after'' shot. The medium condition offered a decent look from outside. Cranker had the best reaction on the medium test pattern, due to his higher rev rate. Both Tweener's and Stroker's ball reactions improved after a couple of games on this pattern. Heavy oil is where this Vibe is going to struggle. The CT Reactive Plus cover is fairly strong, but with this box finish it consistently skidded through'; the breakpoint on the oily pattern. Onyx Vibe performed fairly well on the sport pattern. This is one of those balls that Cranker types will appreciate the most on tougher conditions. Those with higher-; rev rates always appreciate a ball that is super controllable.
