Stärken: The best feature of the Karma Solid is the PowrKoil 18 cover. This proven coverstock allows the ball to not only work on most medium conditions but on lighter or heavier volume patterns with the right surface.

Schwächen: Those looking for a ball with a similar amount of hook as the Avalanches will be disappointed at the amount of hook of the Karma. Weaker layouts will help high rev players but they are probably better suited in picking up a Slingshot.

Insgesamt: The Karma Solid uses the proven Danger Zone core with slight twist, wrapped in PowrKoil 18. Anyone who loved their Danger Zone or those who missed picking it up in its time, will find the Karma Solid to be closest in reaction to it.

Comments: Say goodbye to the Avalanches and say hello to the Karmas. Brunswick has come out with both a solid and pearlized version of the Karma. The Karma Solid has the ability to handle some oil and dry conditions alike. It is best suited for the typical house condition where every style of bowler will find much use for it. Our medium lane condition offered very little challenge. The strong back end of the Karma Solid let us play almost exactly where we did with the Karma Pearl but we had unlimited recovery on shots missed right of target. Even though the ball is on the stronger side for its price point, Cranker was the only one who was deeper than the fourth arrow. The oily pattern was a little tricky at first but once we broke down the track area a little, we had a decent reaction. On heavier conditions where an Alpha Max or Wicked Siege would provide the best look, the Karma Solid wouldn’t be the ball to start with, but it would definitely make it to the ball return after a couple of games. Cranker was able to keep his Karma Solid at the box hnish for his entire test on the heavy pattern. Due to their lower rev rates, Stroker and Tweener needed the help of a 2000 Siaair pad to keep the Karma Solid from overskidding. Both Tweener and Stroker had some success on the dry pattern due to their lower rev rates. They were able to get to the pocket from deep inside but the carry was a little suspect. Cranker was forced to play the left gutter and even from there, the Karma Solid was just too much ball. Our sport pattern requires a much smoother reaction at the back end than this ball offers. We feel that we could have moderate success on this pattern with weaker layouts but we would rather just use a different ball.
