Stärken: What we liked most about this new C-(System) is its improved traction in both the front and back halves of the lane. This is one ball you know is always going to make a move at the back end.

Schwächen: The overall aggressiveness of this Brunswick release will be too much for short and dry patterns for most, and even on medium patterns for some. Although weaker Layouts and polishing will help, this ball will perform at its best on oily lane conditions.

Insgesamt: The C-(System) 3.5 uses a stronger cover than the C-(System) 2.5, while using the same 1-Block core. The change in cover allows this ball to match up better with oily lanes, while the first was best suited for medium to oily patterns.

Comments: The C-(System) 3.5 is the second release from Brunswick in this new line. This ball features the same 1-Block core design as the first, with a cover that is both stronger in the oil as well at the back end of the lane. This cover is called CFT (Chemical Friction Technology) 3.5 Reactive. The 4000-grit Micro Pad finish will match up best with medium-oily and oily patterns. During our testing, we found the C-(System) 3.5 matched up best with our oily test pattern for all three testers. The stronger cover allowed this ball to work even better on this pattern than the first one for all three testers. Although both Cranker's and Tweener's reactions improved on this pattern with the new one over the first C-(System) 2.5, Stroker benefited the most. Even with his lower rev rate, the C-(System) 3.5 had no trouble cutting through the oil and roaring back to the pocket. Medium patterns will offer a decent reaction with the C-(System) 3.5 as well. Those with lower rev rates will be able to stay with the box finish, while those with higher rev rates will need a touch of polish to generate the length necessary in order to use this ball for an extended period of time. When it comes to drier patterns, only those with lower rev rates and high ball speed will have much, if any, success with this new release, and they definitely will need to tarne this ball down in order to score well. We found the C-(System) 3.5 offered moderate success on our Sport pattern. It read the mid-lane extremely well, which is needed on most fresh sport patterns, but the breakpoint was a little much at times. Those with lower rev rates will have more success than those with higher rev rates on sport patterns.
